A winter storm is bringing rain and snow to Southern Arizona.

The National Weather Service provided this update:
Snow levels have briefly reached as low as 2500 ft this morning with temperatures at or below freezing above 3000 ft. Roads have the potential to be hazardous this morning for all areas that have temperatures at or below freezing, especially untreated elevated overpasses and bridges.
Not much change in the forecast with periods of snow this morning above 2500-3000 ft. Up to several inches of additional snow are possible in valley locations to the south and east of Tucson with higher amounts in the mountains. Precipitation will end from west to east this afternoon.
A Hard Freeze Warning has also been issued for most desert locales including Tucson tonight as the coldest temperatures of the season are expected.
