Strong winds, fire and dust concerns, highs in the 70s, then our first 100 degrees, all in the same 7-day forecast.
A Red Flag Warning for much of southeast Arizona from 11 AM to 7 PM today. We can expect southwest winds between 20 and 30 mph, with gusts as high as 45 mph.
Blowing dust and wildfire concerns will continue through Wednesday. A Fire Weather Watch is in effect from noon to 6 PM Wednesday.
The silver lining to all this wind is the cooler air and increasing moisture. A 20% chance for showers and storms will move in tonight into early Wednesday morning, from Tucson north and east.
Highs will drop to the mid 70s Wednesday, then quickly warm back to the 90s Friday, and 100 degrees by Sunday!
