Thanks for the question! I know many of us are wondering when this heat will end. The current forecast shows some signs of the heat eventually breaking so tune in for that!
As for your questions- The placement of high pressure was right over us for much of "nonsoon." Instead of directing moisture into our area, it basically shut it off and kept us unusually hot and dry. We seem to be stuck in this hot and dry pattern even into October.
The average high temperature on November 1st is 79 degrees. The average last occurrence of 80+ degree days is November 25th. I think this year will continue to be warmer than normal, but in November we should start seeing days with highs in the 70s becoming more common.
