TUCSON, Ariz — Former Arizona Football head coach Rich Rodriguez is reportedly set to become the new offensive coordinator at Ole Miss.

Rodriguez coached Arizona from 2012 through 2017, leading Arizona to five bowl appearances. He was let go, not for cause, amid a sexual harrassment allegation. Rodriguez's teams set numerous school offensive records.

Rodriguez is known to be one of the pioneers of the spread offense, now commonly used among college offenses. He has a career record of 118-83 as head coach. He'll replace Phil Longo on Matt Luke's staff. Longo went to North Carolina to be its offensive coordinator.

Earlier this month, Ole Miss hired ex-Colorado head coach Mike McIntyre as defensive coordinator.
