TUCSON, Arizona — There's another "Kerr" playing for Arizona basketball this season, and he's freshman guard Kerr Kriisa, who is originally from Estonia.

Kriisa recently played on the Lithuanian national team. He was MVP at the Kaunas Qualifying Tournament, which was part of the Euroleague Basketball Next Generation Tournament.

Steve Kerr was part of the Wildcats 1988 Final Four team. Kriisa's parents admired Steve Kerr’s championship winning years with the Chicago Bulls. The Wildcats hang uniforms in the rafters, but they don’t retire numbers, so Kriisa will wear his namesake's 25.

"I was really small back then," said Kriisa. "So, I’ve been just like watching some videos from back in the day. Now, I’m wearing his number. I take it as a responsibility to get the 25 in the rafters in good hands."
