Ka'Deem Carey finding his way in the NFL

It's been three years since Ka'Deem Carey has been at the University of Arizona.

Former Arizona Wildcat, CDO alumni, and current Chicago Bear, says life after his 3rd NFL season has changed him for the better.

“Just being a family guy, really, is what I learned is most important. And then it's football,” said Carey.

In 2013 Carey set school records.

Last year with Chicago, he saw limited action with 32 carries for 126 yards and no touchdowns.

“I'm not in the place where I want to be in my career.  Just as I’m trusting the process, that day will come, that opportunity will come. And the records will come just like U of A.”

With a successful college career behind him, Carey needed a full year for his body to recover to play in the NFL.

“Going into the pros, I had no grip on anything,” said Carey.  “It took me probably a full year for my hands to stop shaking.  Literally like shaking.  I would reach for a cup, and I would be shaking because I took so many hits.”

Three pro years down and a loving family, Ka’Deem Carey is on his way.

“Now it's time to rumble and just enjoy the time with my family.”
