TUCSON, Arizona — Former Arizona Wildcat softball player Tamara Statman has gone from pinch-hitter to author, as she wrote a book during the pandemic called, "How to be an Effective Student-Athlete."
"It’s kind of tips and tricks for how to be an effective student-athlete," said Statman, who spent most of her college career as the team's designated player.
One tip has to do with time management skills on a road trip.
"People are actually studying because you have to. There is no choice. You need to turn in your school work."
Statman says the book is written for student-athletes as well as their parents.
"I’m really excited to help get this out and help student-athletes who are wondering what the experience is like."
The book can be pre-ordered now on Amazon Kindle and will be available on Amazon.com on October 8th.
