TUCSON, Ariz. (KGUN) — With many not traveling during the pandemic, this holiday season may be a bit lonely for folks. This has some people coming up with creative gifts.

A Tucson family, the Lowes, used a local business to help them give a memorable gift. They have had their fair share of eventful moments, during this pandemic, and wanted to share those events with family.

"Its a nice unique way, I think, to be able to share with friends and family that you don't get to see, especially this year,” said Stephanie Lowe.

Through a local business called Modern Reflections, they created a slideshow video of their 2020 moments to gift.

The Lowe's cousin, Wendy and her family, live in Texas. The family is very close and relatives, such as Wendy, have missed sharing events together this year.

"Its a fun way to show her what our family has done and having little kids, they change a lot throughout the year. As adults, we don't change that much in a year, but kiddos do. It’s a cool way for her to see how they’ve grown, some of the things we've done this year and the memories we made,” said Lowe.

Modern Reflections, located near Cortero and I-10, digitizes outdated media, creates slideshows and video.

"I think definitely in today's times when families and friends aren’t able to get together for the holidays,, its extremely important to be able to look back at those memories or even in the case of Stephanie, be able to show what her family has done throughout the year to share with her family,” said Laura Levin, the owner of Modern Reflections.

Gifting something unique and special for this interesting holiday season.

"We've restored some photos and digitized some photos and helped them find ways of creating great gifts, including slideshows using those photos. But I think just important right now to lift everyone's spirit and think about memories. And even throughout the year, looking at Stephanie's pictures they definitely had a very fun year even with 2020 happening, they've had a great year,” said Levin.
