A midtown intersection is getting a safety upgrade.
HAWK lights will be installed at Speedway Boulevard and Richey Avenue.
The City of Tucson Transportation Department says construction begins on January 6.
Crews will work Monday through Thursday from 6:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day.
During construction, two lanes of travel will be maintained in each direction on Speedway. Traffic will not be impacted on Richey Avenue.
Drivers can expect delays.
Work will wrap up in February.
