KINGMAN, Ariz. (AP) — The Mohave County sheriff's office has launched an investigation after one man died and two others were shot at in an attempted burglary in Dolan Springs.
The Daily Miner reported that deputies responded to a report of a man burglarizing a Kingman home Wednesday when two neighbors went to check on the residence.
Deputies say the suspected burglar opened fire at the neighbors, hitting one of them multiple times before they returned gunfire and wounded the suspect as he fled.
The sheriff's office reported that the suspect was found dead in the desert area surrounding the home.
The injured neighbor was flown to a hospital in critical condition.
