A man and his 12-year-old son have died after being struck by a car in a hit-and-run in Chandler Monday evening.
According to Chandler police, the crash happened near Alma School Road and Chandler Boulevard around 6 p.m.
Authorities say the man, 50-year-old Mohammad Misbah Uddin of Bangladesh, was confirmed dead at the scene and his son was taken the hospital where he later died from his injuries.
Investigators have identified the vehicle involved in the crash as a dark-colored SUV that left the scene heading northbound after the crash. They believe it's a 2012 to 2016 Dodge Durango.
