PHOENIX — Nearly three dozen people have been arrested as part of Operation Broken Hearts, a child sex crime bust across the Phoenix area.
The operation was conducted by the Phoenix Police Department, in partnership with the Mesa Police Department, Tempe Police Department, Chandler Police Department, Homeland Security Investigators and the Attorney General's Office.
Operation Broken Hearts was an undercover operation targeting sexual predators engaged in child sex crimes and human trafficking.
Throughout the operational period, officers and undercover detectives placed ads on websites and apps which are commonly sought out by suspects seeking illegal sex acts with children.
A total of 37 people were arrested for allegedly soliciting and/or brokering deals for various sex acts.
The suspects pictured below ranged in age from 21 to 66 years old.
