Authorities have charged a 14-year-old accused of stabbing and killing his aunt as an adult.
Paperwork filed in Maricopa County Superior Court shows the 14-year-old has been charged with one count of first-degree murder.
The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office believes the teen stabbed and killed 42-year-old Tonya Harper at her home near Alma School and Chandler Heights sometime on the night of Friday, February 1.
ABC15 is not identifying the teen at this time due to his age.
Prosecutors say the boy acted with premeditation when he stabbed Harper in the neck.
The teen has also been charged with one count of preventing the use of a telephone in an emergency.
It was not immediately clear whether the teen had a lawyer that could comment on his behalf.
