Authorities have identified the "highly dangerous" suspect involved in an hours-long barricade near a northern Arizona grocery store.
Coconino County Sheriff’s Office received a call Wednesday morning from a man who said Solan was holding him against his will with a gun on January 28 in an area near Williams.
Officials located Solan’s vehicle around noon and tried to question him. Solan barricaded himself in the vehicle while the other occupants exited.
Around 6:30 p.m., officials say Solan shot himself in the leg, exited the vehicle and surrendered himself to authorities. He was then taken to an area hospital for treatment.
Solan was booked into jail on charges of kidnapping, aggravated assault, weapons violations, resisting arrest and a probation violation.
The investigation is still underway.
The Coconino County Sheriff's Office confirmed they, along with the Arizona Department of Public Safety and the Northern Arizona Tactical Team, responded to assist Williams police.
