Pima County voters approve all school district bonds and overrides, except 1

TUCSON, Ariz. — School districts across Pima County watched closely Tuesday as voters decided on potential school district bonds and overrides.

Unofficial results from the county show voters approved all but one of the school budget overrides on the ballot: Sunnyside Unified School District.

Voters in SUSD rejected a 10 percent maintenance and operations override, 53.4 percent to 46.6 percent.

Voters of Altar Valley Elementay School District were asked to decide if the district will receive approval for a 10 percent maintenance and operations override continuation. Voters supported measure 53.7 percent to 46.3 percent.

In Flowing Wells Unified School District, voters said yes to the approval of a 10 percent maintenance and operations override continuation. Results show 56.2 percent of voters supported that measure.

Residents of Amphitheater Unified School District voted yes on the approval of a 3.5 percent K-3 Special Programs Override with 59 percent in support.

But voters in Sunnyside Unified School District rejected a 10 percent maintenance and operations override, 53.4 percent to 46.6 percent.

Pima County will continue to count some ballots in the coming days.
