The City of Tucson is offering free transit fares on Election Day to make it easier for citizens to vote.
Voters can ride the Sun Tran, Sun Express and the Sun Link streetcar for free on Election Day. Sun Van paratransit passenger rides will also be free.
Sun Shuttle and Sun Shuttle Dial-a-Ride are not participating, so riders will pay the regular fare.
"We want to make it as easy as possible for voters to get to the polls," said Tucson Mayor Jonathan Rothschild. "The right to vote is so important, and we want to ensure that everyone who's eligible to vote has the opportunity to vote."
