GALLERY: Super Blue Blood Moon
The Super Blue Blood Moon eclipse began just after 4:30 AM on this day, January 31, 2018. The blood or red shade to the moon started just as the eclipse began, a little before 6 AM. The maximum Lunar eclipse occurred around 6:30 AM, and continued until just after 7 AM. An event that hasn't happened since 1866.
Many KGUN 9 viewers sent photos of the spectacular event, from moonrise to the full eclipse. Here's a look at one photo Linda Connelly sent as the Super Blue Blood Moon was rising.
