SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — San Francisco police are investigating a Twitter threat against the department's acting police chief.

Officer Carlos Manfredi said Tuesday investigators were gathering evidence and conducting interviews, as they prepared to present a case to prosecutors.

According to the San Francisco Chronicle, the tweet posted Saturday called for beheading Chief Toney Chaplin and included a photo of the chief beside a guillotine.
