She has had to defend her actions multiple times in the past 24 hours as conservative critics around the nation pick on freshman Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY).
First, she was booed when she offered her vote to elect Nancy Pelosi as the Speaker of the House on Thursday. Of the 200 Dems who voted for Pelosi, she was the only one who received so many boos.
Next, an anonymous Twitter account posted video of Ocasio-Cortez dancing in college. That gesture backfired: The response was more support for her. The Twitter handle was mysteriously deleted.
I hear the GOP thinks women dancing are scandalous.
Wait till they find out Congresswomen dance too! 💃🏽
Have a great weekend everyone :) pic.twitter.com/9y6ALOw4F6

Ocasio-Cortez represents Queens and the Bronx in New York. She is the youngest person ever elected to the House of Representatives and part of an historical group of women elected to the 116th Congress.
