A 44-year-old American woman was allegedly caught trying to smuggle meth across the border Saturday by wearing a feminine hygiene pad filled with the drug after a K9 identified her.
According to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection, the pad contained 0.34 pounds of the drug at the Morley Pedestrian Crossing. She was trying to enter the U.S. from Mexico.
On Friday, CBP officers say a 32-year-old American woman carried 0.60 pounds of fentanyl inside her body cavities and beneath her underwear. She was trying to cross into the U.S. from Mexico via a pedestrian lane at the DeConcini Crossing.
