BULLHEAD CITY, Ariz. (AP) — Authorities say a Bullhead City woman has died at the local police station and the cause appears to be suicide.
Police spokeswoman Emily Fromelt said Sunday that 34-year-old Amber Dawne Fagundes was awaiting being booked on charges when she was found unresponsive in a holding cell.
Fromelt says officers found something around her neck but didn’t give further details. Paramedics responded and administered CPR but she was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to Fromelt, Fagundes had been arrested for disorderly conduct, marijuana possession and possession of drug paraphernalia. The Lake Havasu City Police Department is investigating.
