A woman is dead after a fatal car crash around 11:30 p.m. Friday near 29th Street and Swan Road.
A Tucson Police traffic investigation revealed that a black Dodge Charger was headed southbound on Swan, approaching Swan very quickly, and a red Ford Mustang was headed northbound on Swan was in the left turn lane to head west on 29th Street.
Police say the Mustang made a left turn in front of the Charger and the two collided. The Mustang went up on the sidewalk and hit a pole southwest corner of the intersection.
Tucson Police say the woman driving the Mustang died at the scene. She has been identified as 58-year-old Connie Setrum.
Police say the man driving of the Charger was taken to Banner University Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police say the intersection was closed for several hours.
