TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Gas prices are on the rise at pumps around town.
Tucson's average for a gallon of gas is $1.38- it is no surprise that Tucson has the cheapest gas in the state right now.
The cheapest in town is $1.13 at Costco at 1650 E Tucson Marketplace Blvd.
Gas is so cheap right now because the price of a barrel of oil plunged to around $26 per barrel last month. Now, the average price is nearly $38 per barrel.
Forecasts do show that prices may continue to rise a bit as we get closer to summer, but then will drop back down.
