There is a new concept in Tucson's primary education.
The "K-12 Public School at Home" tour was in Tucson Wednesday. The company works with local charter schools to offer online-based education.
Tucson is the 2nd of 15 cities in 11 states included on the national tour.
The company was co-founded in 1999 with an investment from a "junk bond" financier. Less than 10 years ago, the company settled multiple lawsuits based on its poor student and financial performance.
