One of those teachers, Anthony Holbrook, told KGUN9's Carlos Herrera that teaching fifth grade is a ton of work and the students have been a handful. But as he looks back on his first month, he has had a ton of great moments that keep him excited about coming back every day.
Holbrook said it's important for parents to get involved in order to help kids prepare for the workload and responsibility that grows as middle school approaches.
Holbrook makes it a point to use school technology to allow parents to keep abreast of what's going on in the classroom.
