Veterans can now apply for an ID card that will allow them to receive discounts and other services available to veterans.
The Department of Veterans Affairs announced that the application process for a Veterans Identification Card is now available. This has been mandated through legislation since 2015 to honor veterans.
Veterans with honorable service will be allowed to apply for the card, which provides proof of military service in lieu of the standard DD-214 form.
The application is available online, and veterans can expect to receive the card within 60 days.
A digital version of the card will be available by mid-December.
