TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - The University of Arizona Cancer Center says its research role is increasing.
The center has been accepted into a national clinical trials research group and that means more involvement in clinical trials and an increase in research capabilities.
Dr. Baldassarre Stea is head of the UA College of Medicine's department of radiation oncology and one of the principal investigators of the research program.
Stea says membership means the university's physicians will serve on committees, provide input on research studies and see their own initiatives and ideas included in new research studies.
