TUCSON, Ariz. — The University of Arizona Flandrau center joins Lunar and Planetary Lab to hold the annual Art of Planetary Science event and exhibition this weekend.
The exhibition will be located in the Kuiper Building next door to Flandrau from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
The exhibit will display over 200 works of space art. There will be a 'Cosmic Bus' filled with physics activities located in front of the exhibit.
On Saturday, there will be a free screening at 2 p.m. of Space Art Compilation and Michelle Rouch presentation in the Eos Planetarium Theater.
On Sunday, there will be a free screening at 11 a.m. of the documentary Chesley Bonestell: A Brush With The Future. Film about the “Father of Space Art” in the Eos Planetarium Theater.
The Flandaru center will also reduce admission to $5 for exhibits and shows Saturday from 10 a.m. unitl 10 p.m. and Sunday from noon-5 p.m.
The event is free and open to the public.
