The Arizona Wildcats football team got some love from the preseason Pac-12 media poll, which predicted they will finish third in the Pac-12 South division. The Wildcats garnered three first-place votes.
Arizona State was picked to finish last, and was the only team in the division not to receive a first-place vote. Utah was picked to finish second, and UCLA was fourth, followed by Colorado and ASU.
Southern Cal, with 22 first-place votes, was picked to win the South. Washington, with a conference-leading 40 votes, was picked to win the North, followed by Stanford, Oregon, Cal, Washington State and Oregon State.
Arizona opens the season Sept. 1 against BYU.
