Daniel W. Cox, 59, and Pearle M. Perl, 63, have been identified as the rider and passenger of the fatal motorcycle collision on Wednesday night.

Officers responded to reports of a serious injury collision involving a motorcycle and a truck on S. Wilmot Rd. and E. Golf Links Rd. around 5 p.m.

When officers arrived on the scene, they located an adult male motorcycle rider and his adult female passenger with obvious signs of trauma.

Cox and Perl were immediately transported to Banner University Medical Center, but succumbed to injuries and were pronounced deceased at the hospital.

The driver of the truck was not injured and remained on scene.

Detectives were able to determine that the rider of a 2000 Harley Davidson motorcycle was northbound on Wilmot Rd. riding through the intersection at E. Golf Links Rd. when he was struck by the driver of a 2012 Ford F-250 making an eastbound turn onto Golf Links Rd. from Wilmot Rd.

Neither the rider nor the passenger of the motorcycle was wearing a helmet.

Speed and alcohol do not appear to be factors in this collision.
