The Tucson Unified School District governing board agreed unanimously Tuesday to look into educating migrant kids held at Southwest Key.

That facility houses hundreds of kids whose parents crossed the border illegally.

Many community members called on the board Tuesday evening to educate those children.

The Southwest Key facility on Grant and Oracle falls within TUSD's district boundaries.

TUSD's governing board will meet again with recommendations on August 14.
