Tucson water rates to go up July 1st

TUCSON, Ariz. -- Rates are going up next month for Tucson Water customers.

The Mayor and City council approved a hike in the water rate at a meeting in May 2018.
Average households use 8 Ccf and 6,000 gallons of water per month.

The new rate averages out to about 0.7 cents / gallon.

Water rate changes go into effect July 1, 2019.

The City of Tucson offers assistance for low income households which meet certain requirements.
