A Tucson teen is one of two Arizona students heading to the nation's capital next month as part of Boys Nation.
17-year-old Allen El of The Gregory School was chosen for the selective program.
Each student becomes a Boys Nation senator and goes to D.C. with a bill already written. There, the Boys Nation senators will debate and pass their bills, which will go to President Donald Trump.

Two students from each state across the country are selected each year to represent their schools. El says to be selected for Boys Nation means to have proven to their school and Boys State program that they are a leader.
El says he and the other chosen student from Phoenix will meet Arizona State Senator Jeff Flake.
Boys Nation is July 20 through 28.
