TUCSON, Ariz. — Three Tucson-area shelters are teaming up for one "pawsome" adoption event this weekend!

Pima Animal Care Center, the Humane Society of Southern Arizona and the Hermitage No-Kill Cat Shelter and Sanctuary are looking to find forever homes for hundreds of pets during the "Tucson Shelters United" mega adoption event, Oct. 18-20.

All three shelters are offering 50 percent off adoption fees for all pets four months and up. PACC says their goal is to find homes for 600 pets.

In addition to finding your future furry friend, all three shelters are celebrating with activities all weekend long including:

Foster Fair Friday - OCT. 18

All three shelters are giving people the opportunity to meet pets in foster care and get information on how to help ease overcrowding in shelters. “Without foster parents helping to expand the shelter walls, we could never save so many lives,” Karen T. Baden, Executive Director of The Hermitage said.

Sounds for the Hounds - Oct. 18

The Humane Society is providing a free concert in its main courtyard at 6:30 p.m. People can also meet the shelter's longest term residents (whose adoptions are sponsored all weekend).

Spooky Saturday - Oct. 19

PACC is celebrating October with a Halloween-themed event for kids and families. Attendees can participate in carnival games, Trunt or Treat, and win PACC discounts. Food trucks will also be on-site each day.

Candy Corn and Peanut Butter Kisses - Oct.19-20

The Hermitage shelter has a "purrfect" adoption special to celebrate Halloween. All black and orange cats are $10 off on Satrday and Sunday.
