TUCSON, Ariz. (KGUN) — Tucson Rodeo Committee General Manager Gary Williams announced his retirement.

Williams has served in the role for 26 years, and has been the organization's only general manager in the rodeo's 95-year history.

“Over the past 26 years, there was always one constant. It was always one heck of a ride!” said Williams in his retirement letter to the Rodeo Committee.

Williams will step down Jan. 18. The 2021 rodeo was canceled due to COVID-19 and will take place Feb. 19-27, 2022.
