Tucson Police asking for information on 16-year-old shot on Southwest side

TUCSON, Ariz. (KGUN) — Tucson Police have released new details in a shooting death on Tucson's southwest side.

Around 10:30 a.m. Thursday a passerby noticed an unresponsive person near the side of the roadway on South Oak Tree Drive just north of Valencia Road. The passerby called Tucson Police; when officers responded they saw signs of gunshot wounds and the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim has been identified by TPD as 16-year-old Adrian Aguilar.

Police are asking that anyone in the community with information about Aguilar's death to call 88-CRIME or 911. This investigation is ongoing.
