TUCSON, Ariz. — Tucson police identified a man who died Thursday after being hit by a pickup truck.
Police say 45-year-old Jerry Penalver died after a 2011 Chevrolet pickup truck hit him while he was crossing Oracle Road from west to east.
Penalver was in the crosswalk at the time. The truck hit him while making a right turn onto northbound Oracle from westbound Fort Lowell Road.
The driver cooperated with the investigation. Neither speed nor impairment were believed to have been factors in the crash.
