TUCSON, Ariz. — Tucson Police are investigating a homicide that happened in downtown Tucson on December 8th.

At 2:30 that morning officers were called out to a fight near 5th street and Congress. They found a 25-year-old man and his relative, both with facial injuries.

Officers said Jason Garcia and the relative provided very little information to police. Witnesses said Garcia and the relative were fighting with at least two other people.

Tucson Fire medics showed up and treated Garcia and his relative.

After they left, Garcia fell to the ground in front of Playground Bar. Then Tucson Fire took him to Banner UMC for treatment.

He died the next day.

The Pima County Medical Examiner has determined Garcia died by homicide.

Investigators said many people were around at the time of the fight, and may have seen what happened.

Anyone with information is asked to call 88-CRIME.
