TUCSON, Ariz. — Tucson has been picked at the new headquarters for Raytheon's combined 'Missiles and Defense' division.
This comes after uncertainty surrounding where the company would place their new headquarters after a merger with United Technologies.
Missile Systems employs about 13,000 people in the Tucson area.
Raytheon missile operations in Tucson are part of a larger company that makes a wide range of defense products. That company is merging with another large defense contractor, United Technologies. A different division that combines Raytheon Intelligence and Space operations will be based in Arlington, Virginia.
