TUCSON, Ariz. — It's time once again for one of Tucson's tastiest traditions!
The annual Tucson Meet Yourself Folklife Festival is back for another year of delicious food, live performances and cultural traditions that make the Old Pueblo shine.
Attendees can sample food from many regions and purchases support the cultural activities of vendors year-round.
According to festival organizers, 120,000 people are expected to attend during the three day event.
When is the event?
The free event runs from Oct. 11-13 and takes place in front of the Pima County Library Plaza and adjacent blocks of Church Ave., Stone Ave., and Pennington Street.
What are the hours for each day?
Friday and Saturday: 11:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m.
Sunday: 11:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Where are my transportation options?
TMY recommends using the Sun Tran bus, the Tucson Street Car or a bike to get to the event. If you prefer to drive, metered parking is free after 5:00 p.m. on weekends. There are also several parking garages and lots nearby.
Road closures
Tuesday, October 8, 2019, 6 p.m. through Sunday, October 13, 2019, midnight – Stone Avenue will be closed from Congress Street to Alameda Street. Pennington Street will be closed from Church Avenue to Scott Avenue.
Wednesday, October 9, 2019, 6 p.m. through Sunday, October 13, 2019, midnight – Church Avenue will be closed from Pennington Street to Alameda Street.
Friday, October 11, 2019, 6 p.m. through Sunday, October 13, 2019, midnight – Church Avenue will be closed from Alameda Street to Congress Street.
Downtown Tucson will host “Tucson Meet Yourself” this weekend. Multiple ROAD CLOSURES will be in place for this event beginning tomorrow.

What's on the menu?
The food lineup this year features cultural clubs, organizations, and restaurants representing Bosnia, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Egypt, France, Greece, India, Jamaica, Japan, Mexico, Philippines, Poland, Russia, Thailand, Turkey, Venezuela, Vietnam, the Mediterranean, as well as Hawaii, the U.S. South, and the Tohono O’odham and Pascua Yaqui tribes, indigenous to the Sonoran Desert region.

What's new this year?
New to this year's festival is the celebration of California traditions. Well-known artists from The Golden State include writer and cultural critic Gustavo Arellano, folk ensemble Cambalache, Kahlil Cummings & the Extra Ancestral Show and East LA artists Ofelia Esparza.
