Tucson was recognized as a top biking destination at the 'Places for Bikes Conference' in Indiana.
Tucson placed fifth based on "bicycle ridership, bicycle safety, low-stress network connectivity, growth rate of bicycle infrastructure and events, and community perceptions of bikeability."
Tucson had the second highest score of all large US cities as America’s Best Places for Bikes.
Nearly 500 cities were evaluated in five different categories and based off an overall score on a five-point system. Tucson has been given the second highest score out of all large US cities as America's Best Places for Bikes.
