Meena Venkataramanan, a 2017 graduate of Catalina Foothills High School, received the Harvard College Emerging Leader Award.
The Emerging Leader Award is given to up to three freshmen who have demonstrated outstanding involvement and initiative during their first year on campus.
The Emerging Leader Award was presented to Venkataramanan at the Student Leadership Awards Ceremony hosted by the Office of Student Life and presented by the Dean of Freshmen.
She received a crystal award and a cash prize.
This year's selection committee included the Dean of Freshmen, the Dean of Students, the Associate Dean of Student Engagement, the Public Service Network Program Manager, and the Student Body President and Vice President
