UPDATE: 22-year-old identified in fatal Northside collision; allegedly driving motorcycle at 100 mph

22-year old Liam Gulyas has been identified in the fatal traffic accident on Thornydale and Cromwell Tuesday night, according to the Pima County Sheriff's Department.

Upon arrival, deputies observed a collision between an SUV and a motorcycle. Deputies discovered that the rider of the motorcycle, identified as 22-year old Liam Gulyas, had been ejected.

According to a press release, Guylas was traveling at approximately 100 mph, did not slow down, and attempted to weave around the SUV. Guylas struck the side of the SUV and was ejected from his motorcycle.

A traffic collision at Thornydale Rd and Cromwell Dr is backing up traffic in multiple directions, according to the Pima County Sheriff Department.

Deputies are on scene of the traffic collision. Both directions of travel are on Thornydale are closed between Cromwell and Massingale.

Drivers are encouraged to avoid the area and utilize alternate routes of travel.
