TUCSON, Ariz. — Police confiscated a gun from a Sunnyside High School student Wednesday morning.
According to the district, the school received a tip from a parent which helped police and school security to respond quickly.
When the student arrived on campus, police took the weapon from them.
"The situation was addressed before classes began this morning, preventing any disruption or a direct threat to students and/or staff," the district said in a statement.
