Tucson Police are offering training for residents who want to learn how to respond in an active shooter situation.
The next class will be held on Tuesday August 9 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.
The presentation will provide info on what citizens can do when faced with an active shooter or any other type of violent encounter
The class will be held at the Midtown Hardesty Station at 1100 South Alvernon Way.
Class size will be limited so all interested participants are asked to email TOEMHS@tucsonaz.gov.
Interested participants are asked to include their first and last name in the email and a phone number to be reached at.
