Tombstone celebrates Doc Holli-days

Posted

Allen Street was filled with people who came from different parts of the country to see Val Kilmer return to Tombstone Saturday.

People were lined up since early Saturday morning to meet Kilmer, many dressed as Doc Holliday

The day was filled with the inaugural Doc Holli-days event and music filled the streets while people patiently waited for the parade to begin where they then would be able to see Kilmer who was the Grand Marshal.

Thousands of people are expected to attend this weekend.

"It's going to be a huge boom for the city, the number of people we're expecting is about 10,000 people over the weekend and I'm sure they're going to be buying things from the different shops, they're going to be eating, maybe hitting the bars later today and in the evening. Its going to be a huge boost for the economy, says shop helper Greg King."
