Tucson travelers are now able to get to the Bay Area without a layover.
Alaska Airlines has started offering direct flights to San Jose.

The flights will use smaller regional jets with 76 seats, 12 of which will be in first class and 64 in coach, KGUN9's Carlos Herrera reports.
The flights to San Jose will arrive at 9:24 a.m. Trips from San Jose will depart at 5:35 p.m. and arrive in Tucson at 7:45 p.m.
Tucson International Airport now offers 20 nonstop destinations.
