RICHMOND, IN — A teenage suspect is dead after an active shooter situation at a Richmond, Indiana school.
The incident happened at Dennis Middle School, at about 8 a.m.
The school district confirmed on Twitter there was an active shooter. The school is secure. Police say the teenage suspect is dead, and no other students are injured.
All Richmond Community Schools are on lockdown, according to a post on the district's Facebook page. At this time, nobody may leave or enter the buildings.
Parents have gathered at Richmond High School to pick up their children.
