TUCSON, Ariz. — The City of Tucson Transportation Department announced the Downtown Links Constructors will start pre-construction fields activities.
Pre-construction activities will begin this week and continue through the end of December 2019.
The pre-construction includes work crews, short-term traffic control including; surface, subsurface, geotechnical, environmental and survey verification's.
Drivers traveling in area may expect traffic delays, according to TDOT.
On Wednesday November 20, from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. northbound Stone Avenue, at the intersection of 5 th Street, will be reduced to one through-travel lane, according to TDOT.
On Thursday, November 21, from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. southbound Stone Avenue, at the intersection of 5 th Street, will be reduced to one through-travel lane, according to TDOT.
TDOT says all lane turn movements will be directed.
The Regional Transportation Authority is an independent taxing district to improve the region's mobility managed by the city of Tucson.
