Wednesday night's storm had roads to the east blocked and caused flooding in most of Southern Arizona.
A weather spotter in Corona de Tucson tells us four out of five roads headed into Corona de Tucson were either unsafe or closed in the afternoon hours.
Rain returned to Southern Arizona after several weeks of dry dry weather. It brought wet roads, traffic, running washes and closed roads. In Sahuarita, several cars were stuck in flood waters. Three drivers were stranded on Sahuarita Road. They waited for hours until tow trucks were able to pull them out safely.
Flooding closed Sahuarita Road was at Alvernon in the evening hours as well. Drivers were grid-locked for hours trying to get through on both directions.
A viewer shared a video of Canyon Del Oro Wash running rapidly during the storm. The viewer described the wash as a river. The video was shared by thousands on social media.
On the Eastside, rain made it dangerous for driver on the roads.
